Volunteer Requirements
All volunteers will be required to follow the Host Society’s Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest and Volunteer policies. Volunteers are also required to attend an orientation session and role-specific training prior to the start of the Games, as well as pick up their uniform package and volunteer credentials. All roles are required to complete a criminal background check and roles that interact with participants will require a training and accreditation session.

Immediate Needs:
Rural Education Chair:
The Rural Education Chair will work to design a manageable, fun set of activities for local schools to engage in prior to the games that touch on the topics of sportsmanship, chickadees, local Indigenous and/or Arctic Sporting history, and Indigenous arts, cultures, languages, and fashions. They will manage the contractor who designs this curriculum and work with the cultural director and general manager to source, purchase and disseminates supplies.
Donor Services Gratitude Team:
This team (ideally 2 people) will weekly call donors to express thanks for their support, writing of thank you notes, and other duties as assigned.
Signs Chair:
If you find yourself saying: "That could have been better well marked" then you are perfect for this Chair position. If you love thinking about signs and are meticulously organized, then you'll be perfect as our Signs Chair. This person will work closely with the Venues Program Manager and Marketing Manager to inventory and plan for every sign needed during Games week to help people navigate the Valley and each venue.
Volunteer Chair:
This person will assist our Volunteer Program Manager to place volunteers into positions according to venue. They help narrow down venue based needs for volunteers and develop task lists for each venue. This person needs to be highly communuity focused, have strong communications skills, be meticulously organized, and need to be comfortable using our online volunteer platform. If you love working with people and are a task focused person, this volunteer chair position is right for you.
