Help us fill these shifts!

Some key areas still need volunteer shifts to be filled, urgently! If you would like to schedule for one of the areas below, please check your GEMS.pro profile to make sure that you have selected the “interest” boxes you’d like by logging into your profile and selecting Interests, then choosing those specific areas. Then while in Smart Sign Up, you can filter by date, location, or committee. Please reach out to volunteer@awg2024.org if you need assistance with scheduling.

Luggage Sorters at the Airport Mar 9, 10 and 16
As a luggage sorter, you will assist the teams when they arrive and ensure their luggage makes it on the correct motor coach for transportation to their village.

Food Service positions at ALL villages and ALL shifts
We have a HUGE need for assistance in food service within the villages. Roughly 2,000 participants need food and to accomplish this task, we will need much more help. We are encouraging all volunteers to please take two shifts if possible. Food service entails serving food, restocking salad bar and drinks and assisting with dishes if needed. You do not need a food handlers permit or experience.

Medical
EMT II’s and higher, we NEED you! We still have quite a few positions available.

Safety Ambassadors
This is one of our biggest needs. We can not stress the importance of these shifts enough! This includes checking accreditation badges (can sit down if needed), hall monitors and evening hall monitors (overnight shift). The Games can’t go forward without these positions. We encourage all adults to please consider adding two Safety Ambassador shifts.

For the two positions below, please reach out the specific email addresses listed to get scheduled and begin volunteering:

Ulu News Reporters
We need writers willing to write articles for Ulu news starting immediately. To volunteer for this position, simply email krysta.voskowsky@awg2024.org - we will handle the gems side of things for you after you get in touch.

Live Stream Load In & Set Up
We need 3 volunteers available March 6-10 to help Hometeam Live, our livestream service, with packing in of their equipment and following directions from a supervisor to assist with set up. To volunteer for this position, email communication@awg2024.org - we will handle the gems side of things for you.

Thank You To Our Volunteers!

Volunteers are the beating heart of the Arctic Winter Games - we could not be what we are without the fervent effort of our volunteer team. For your dedication, hard work, persistence, community spirit, and valiant efforts, we thank you!
